Pepenero – amazing value for money

Munich is known to be one of the most expensive cities in Germany. Coming from London, I do not feel this as much as most people, but nonetheless, I am always on the hunt for a good bargain. The perfect opportunity to do this was when my friends were visiting me and we discovered Paros. I then did some research online and the great website Spotted By Locals recommended this lovely little Italian place.

What we wanted was a simple, cheap, yet good quality meal. What we got was simple, cheap, good quality food, served up with a side of buzzing atmosphere and great cocktails. Really, a win all around!

The prices at Pepenero are unbelievable. Pizzas cost between 5 and 9 Euros, and pasta dishes are the same. We all opted for pizza and were not disappointed, as they were thin-crusted bites of deliciousness. Our tasty Hugo cocktails were 4,50 Euros and we even had a little liquor as a digestif (my first, and probably last of its kind) for 2 Euros.

Their pizzas are generously sized and their service, whilst sometimes a little inattentive, is very friendly. The place is filled with a diverse range of people, including students and families, and the atmosphere is relaxed, yet buzzing.

I recommend Pepenero for a fun meal with friends. There are many bars all around the area (Münchner Freiheit) for after-dinner drinks, but alternatively, I would be happy to sip on their Hugos all evening long!
