Gressingham duck party
What’s the best way to stave off a quarter-life crisis?
Eating.
Gressingham Duck was kind enough to sponsor this pre-birthday dinner, and so the meal was built around the crowning jewel: a whole roast duck. I was nervous about cooking it, as I’d never attempted a roast bird before, but it turned out beautifully!
This meal served 10 people.
Starter: Green salad with walnuts and avocado, doused in mustard vinaigrette
Side dish #1: Roast vegetables
Side dish #2: Garlic and chili green beans
Side pleasure: Home-made red wine gravy
Dessert: Chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse and caramel (provided by the Baking Medic)
