Weekend of Food 2013
The Weekend of Food started out as a little get together in October 2013. We just wanted to eat food, and lots of it. One year on, it’s already become a highlight of our social calendar and we have even bigger aspirations for next year!
The idea is to spend 2-3 days discovering foodie options around London and having one big Saturday meal that follows a theme. In 2013, we chose the Deep South.
Friday night: Eritrean cuisine at Mosob
Saturday brunch: All American, Lucky 7 Diner
Saturday dinner
Main: Real Southern Fried Chicken
Side: Destiny mashed potatoes, deep fried okra, green beans boiled to death with half a pig
Dessert: Lemon meringue pie
Sunday breakfast: Home-made granola
