This year, we decided to embrace France and so the Saturday dinner was a French feast. It was magnifique!

Friday daytime: A visit to La Cave à Fromage

Friday night: Light tapas at home, including home-made hummus

Saturday brunch: Indian fusion at Dishoom

Saturday dinner: 

Canapes: Rillette and foie gras on baguette, paired with champagne

Starter: Garlic soup, paired with Malbec

Main: Duck breast à la Rick Stein, paired with Malbec

Side #1: Pommes Anna, paired with Malbec

Side #2: Green beans with garlic and toasted walnuts, paired with Malbec

Cheese platter: Provided by La Cave à Fromage, accompanied by walnut-raisin loaf and  green salad with toasted walnuts. Paired with Riesling, Pinot Noir and Sauternes.

Part 1: Sainte-Maure de Touraine, Ossau-Iraty and Beaufort d’Alpage

Part 2: Vacherin/Mont d’Or, Munster and Vernières Roquefort Special Reserve

Dessert: Assorted macarons, provided by Ganache Macaron, paired with Sauternes

Sunday brunch/lunch: Grazing at Camden market
